OMI is a pioneer in plywood production in Guinea, with a current annual capacity of 25,000 m³. The unit produces plywood in various sizes, including 3.6 mm, 6 mm, 9 mm, 12 mm, 15 mm, 18 mm Normal, and 18 mm Marine plywood.
Beyond production, the plywood unit plays an important role in local development. Located in a forest region with limited industrial activity, it is currently the largest employer in the area, providing jobs to over 600 individuals. OMI also supports the surrounding communities through annual tree plantation initiatives of 1,000 to 1,500 trees, as well as the construction of small bridges, healthcare facilities, and schools for nearby villages.
